PPSC Advertisement NO.11/2026 lists 13 posts with 299 vacancies. Eight of them print a screening test: one MCQ paper of 100 marks in 90 minutes, split the way the advertisement states. The other five, all Senior Registrar posts, print no test at all.
Every post has its own page on our PPSC NO.11/2026 syllabus list, with the paper split and the post's details as the advertisement prints them.
Key takeaways
- 13 posts, 299 vacancies. Eight posts print a test; five Senior Registrar posts do not.
- Every test is one MCQ paper: 100 marks, 90 minutes.
- The split ranges from one subject for the whole paper (the veterinary and accounts posts) to a mix of General Ability and post-related questions.
- 0.25 marks are lost for each wrong answer, and the pass mark is 40% of the total marks.
The eight posts with a test
| Post | Scale | Vacancies | Paper split (100 marks) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intelligence Officer, Special Branch, Punjab Police | BS-14 | 30 | General Ability about 80, Basic Computer Studies about 20 |
| Tehsil Sports Officer | BS-16 | 37 | Qualification-related 50, General Ability 50 |
| Assistant Regional Manager, Agriculture Department | BS-17 | 8 | Qualification-related about 60, General Knowledge about 40 |
| Assistant Accounts Officer | BS-17 | 12 | Accounting, Finance and Auditing 100 |
| Veterinary Officer | BS-17 | 40 | DVM 100 |
| Senior Veterinary Officer | BS-18 | 61 | Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry 100 |
| Deputy Director (Town Planning) | BS-18 | 2 | Qualification-related 100 |
| Deputy Director (Engineering) | BS-18 | 2 | B.Sc. Civil Engineering-related 100 |
PPSC prints some of these weights as approximate, so a paper may differ a little from the split.
The five posts without a test
The Senior Registrar posts in Medicine, Surgery, Cardiac Anesthesia, Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Ophthalmology have 107 vacancies between them, but the advertisement prints no screening test or syllabus for them. Their pages list the qualifications, age limit and domicile as printed. Check PPSC's own notices for how candidates for these posts are selected.
Marking, and what the advertisement does not say
Every wrong answer costs 0.25 marks, a blank answer scores zero, and the pass mark is 40% of the total marks, so 40 out of 100. Our PPSC mocks apply the same marking.
What the advertisement does not print is a topic-level syllabus for each part: it gives the split only. PPSC may post a per-case syllabus notice on its website.
How to prepare
If your paper is one subject (the veterinary, accounts and deputy director posts), the test is about your own field. Revise your degree's core subjects, and practice answering MCQs on them quickly: 100 questions in 90 minutes leaves under a minute each.
If your paper includes General Ability (Intelligence Officer, Tehsil Sports Officer), the advertisement lists what that part covers: General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu and Everyday Science. It is the same ground as other one paper exams. Our guide to one paper exams in Pakistan explains how these tests compare.
Practice under the clock. The Intelligence Officer post has a full timed mock on Mock CSS now, built on its printed split. Mocks for the other posts are added as their papers are ready, and you can save the posts you are applying for.
