Qualifications
(i)Second Class or Grade 'C' Master's or Bachelor's (4 years duration) degree in Geology / Geophysics with majors in Petroleum or Coal from a University recognized by HEC.orSecond Class or Grade 'C' Bachelor's degree of Engineering in Petroleum / Chemical / Chemical Technology / Mechanical / Mining Engineering with major in Coal recognized by PEC.(ii)Three (3) years post qualification experience in exploration and development of Hydrocarbon or Coal Resources or Oil & Gas Pipeline or Petroleum Refinery or Petrochemical Industry or production planning and designing in these fields from a Government / Semi Government / Autonomous Body / Private Sector Organization of repute.
Notes
Experience relaxable for Ph.D. and by two years in case of M.Phil where the minimum qualification prescribed is Master's degree. Experience relaxable for Ph.D. and by two years in case of Master's degree or equivalent where the minimum qualification prescribed is Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience can be further relaxed in addition to (i) and (ii) above by one year in the outstanding cases as determined by the FPSC. Additional increments up to a maximum of six increments may be allowed upon the recommendation of the FPSC.
